The Community Association recently employed a full time member of staff, (35 hours per week), who is responsible for the delivery and implementation of the PEACE II funded project. Mrs Charmain Jones, a local Portadown resident, has worked in the field of community development, community relations and youth work for over 7 years. She is available to all affiliated community groups by appointment and will assist with funding advice, application forms, project planning, strategic development and training needs. The Committee has recently recruited a part time student as an Administration Officer for the summer period. Miss Natalie Chambers will be working for the association until 30th August 2008.
Funding is currently being sought from a variety of sources to ensure the office at Carleton Street is fully manned post Aug 2008, we will keep you posted on any developments!! |
